Today, I have made the difficult and necessary decision to close all the retail automotive locations of Shift Auto Group at the end of business today, March 19. Although we have been preparing to make this announcement since this morning, Premier Higgs required us to close as of this afternoon.
This includes Volvo Cars New Brunswick, Fredericton Mitsubishi, ReCar Fredericton, ReCar Saint John, St. Croix Auto Fredericton, St. Croix Auto St. Stephen, St. Croix Auto St. George and St. Croix Auto Charlottetown.
The health and safety of our families, employees, customers and our communities has always been our top priority. We have taken every known measure to protect all of those mentioned above while remaining open for business, but it simply is not enough. This temporary shutdown is a necessary opportunity for us to join Team Canada and Team New Brunswick and do all that we can to control the spread of COVID-19.
Please be assured that we are doing all we can to ensure that the essential services we provide are available. Although our retail and service locations will be closed, we are available on an emergency basis for essential services such as parts and service needs. Should anyone have essential work that needs to be done on their vehicle, or need essential parts, they are to call the numbers below to have this scheduled:
